★ Frequently asked

Before you enroll.

Class size

Our classes are intentionally small, reflecting real-world filmmaking environments. All project-based MAKE SOMETHING classes are limited to 10–15 students, and workshops range from 8–12 students.

Ages

All classes are intended for adult students aged 18 and older, unless otherwise indicated on the individual class page. We host annual youth programs — see our Youth Camps section above.

Schedule

Classes are released on a rolling basis each quarter. Please note the deadline to register on each individual class page — they may differ depending on the course.

Reminder emails

We send reminder emails 1–2 business days before your class starts — so ensure you use the correct email at registration. Reminders include location, instructor contact, code of conduct, and what to expect on day one.

Payment plans

Anyone is eligible for a payment plan if needed. Email classes@austinfilmschool.org to get started — we require 50% of tuition upfront and split the remaining balance into up to 2 equal payments.
