Artists Behind the Work

Motion Media Arts Center is led by a team of working artists and media professionals based in Texas, all deeply invested in the creative communities we serve.
Our work is guided by two flagship programs: Austin School of Film and Cinemaker, creating an ecosystem of education, mentorship, and creative access that supports artists at every stage of their journey.
Austin School of Film offers accessible, high-quality education that is open to the public. Each year, 15 to 20 active filmmakers, editors, documentarians, and media artists teach with us, sharing real-world experience and helping students navigate the evolving world of film and digital media with hands-on learning.
Cinemaker is our community studio access program that provides affordable space, equipment, and resources for local filmmakers, photographers, and media artists. It is also home to the Artist Access Program, an opportunity for local artists to expand their creative practice while gaining hands-on professional experience.
In 2025, we received more than 150 applications and selected the top 10 percent. Over six months, participants work directly with our team and programs while receiving:
Participant benefits include: 1-Year All Access Cinemaker Studio Membership, $2,000 Education Fund, On-Site Job Training, Career Credentials, and Creative Community Connections.
“The Artist Access Program is rooted in a deep commitment to truly supporting emerging and independent artists in media arts and digital media. It removes barriers by providing the tools, resources, and opportunities artists need to learn, create, and refine their craft.”
Faiza Kracheni, Executive Director
