Austin School of Film’s Digital Video Certificate Program (DVCP) provides students ages 18+ an affordable pathway into creative media industries. From creating their own films, cultivating media skills, and working in the vast world of digital media and film.

Our Digital Video Certificate Program is designed to provide you with the skills and experience needed to succeed in today’s fast-paced creative industry, all while being flexible enough for working professionals. This program gives you a comprehensive foundation in film and video production, focusing on real-world application in pre-production, production, and post-production.

You'll complete a series of practical courses that teach you the ins-and-outs of filmmaking, and by the end of the program, you'll have created a portfolio of real work. Whether you’re producing your own projects or working on collaborative pieces, this hands-on approach ensures you gain the experience to move forward.

All of our courses are taught by industry professionals with extensive experience in film and video production. Through their expertise, you'll gain valuable insights into the latest production techniques and trends, while also developing connections with a network of local working creative professionals.

Our certificate program represent an average 200 hours of in-classroom training through 14 required courses plus two electives.

Tuition for individual classes typically ranges from $175 to $675. Designed to be flexible, the program follows a "Pay-As-You-Go" structure, so you only pay for the classes you select, with the ability to customize your schedule to fit your lifestyle.
