Anne Goetzmann Kelley is a pioneering arts leader who co-founded Moment Productions, an alternative record and music production company, where she served as president from 1979 to 1984. After returning to Austin in 1991, Anne brought her indie marketing expertise to the city’s burgeoning film scene and co-founded the Center for Young Cinema (CYC). CYC provided a safe, creative space for youth, including her own son, to explore self-expression through film and art. Under her guidance, the center became a hub of creativity, with student films screened nationwide and featured on HBO Family.
In 2002, Anne co-founded Motion Media Arts Center, merging CYC with Austin Cinemaker Co-op to establish a comprehensive media arts center that provides learning opportunities for all ages. After over two decades of service at Motion Media Arts Center, Anne has transitioned into a role supporting special outreach projects and events to further the nonprofit’s mission.
She remains passionate about empowering young people through filmmaking and continues to seek new ways to engage children globally in creative expression through the arts. In her free time, Anne enjoys walking her dogs by the lake and connecting with emerging media artists.
