In 2019, Austin School of Film partnered with Mappathon™ to bring the projection mapping workshop taught & created by accomplished educator and artist CHIKA to Texas for the first time ever.
We hosted 15 students from all over the USA (yes, really) ranging from professors, creatives, filmmakers, students, club owners, photographers, fashion designers and more. This was many participants first chance to take the workshop with multimedia artist Chika. On the final day of the 2-day workshop, we hosted a public showcase of their installations & talk with the artist herself. This Spring 2020, we’re doing it all over again and you’re invited!

The goal of our quarterly meet-up (which btw: are completely free & open to any area woman to attend) is to meet, connect, and learn about women directly in our creative communities. From emerging media creators and student filmmakers to industry professionals and those new to town — each event has a little of it all!

Austin School of Film's Creative Filmmaking: Music Video Production class is designed to give you insight into the practical concerns involved with completing a music video from top to bottom with an industry filmmaker. Students will be guided hands-on to create a cinematic music video.
