Screening: Blood In, Blood Out w/ Special Guests and Performances
Join the Austin Arts Foundation and the Austin School of Film for a special Hispanic Heritage Month screening of the cult classic Blood In, Blood Out (1993), featuring a live appearance by one of the film's stars, Carlos Carrasco. Before the film begins at 6PM, we’ll kick off with an outdoor lowrider car show with South Austin Custom & Vintage Bicycle Show, showcasing vintage and custom lowrider and chopper-style bicycles fro 5-6pm.
After the film, stay for the after-party featuring DJs, live music, and performances with delicious Mexican dishes from Achiote ATX!
WHAT DOES YOUR TICKET INCLUDE: Every ticket comes with a wristband for unlimited re-entry to the event and complimentary beverages all evening long!

All ticket proceeds will support the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Austin Arts Foundation and their advocacy efforts for local artists and arts organizations.

Austin Arts Foundation (Austin AF)’s Los Artículos: Dejar Huella Juntos is three-day celebration of Latinx creativity and culture in East Austin, taking place from September 12-14, 2024, at Motion Media Arts Center (MMAC). This year's theme emphasizes the lasting impact of Hispanic and Latino/a/x/é artists, inviting artists and community members to unite in a vibrant celebration of diverse cultures through visual arts, music, dance, literature, film, and multimedia projects. Inspired by the iconic film Blood In, Blood Out, written by Jimmy Santiago Baca, which celebrates its 31st anniversary, this event underscores the importance of creating enduring art that challenges cultural boundaries and leaves a lasting impact on society.
