Austin School of Film hosted another exciting event that celebrated the creative prowess of emerging filmmakers in Central Texas. On June 3, 2023, the film nonprofit premiered 17 short films, featuring the works of many first-time adult filmmakers.

We're thrilled to announce that the highly anticipated bi-annual education discount at the Austin School of Film is now in effect! From enriching workshops for adult learners to exciting end-of-summer programs for youth, there's something for everyone looking to explore their creative potential and support a nonprofit organization at the same time.

Over the course of two weekends in November, Motion Media Arts Center’s ongoing events series, AFTER DARK, will curate 29 local media artists for an exclusive Austin Studio Tour experience. Guests can expect to sip on bubbly cocktails and mocktails, indulge in local savory bites and sweets, and be fully immersed into the chaotic, beautiful, and tantalizing world of underground art.

The documentary follows Carmen Cumba, an indigenous midwife in the High Sierras of Ecuador who, despite many hardships and obstacles, has dedicated her life to helping the women of her community both as an Ancestral medicine practitioner and as an advocate for equality for her fellow midwives in Ecuador.
