Event Recap 〰️

As the summer continues so does the filmmaking! Austin School of Film was proud to host a celebratory screening of our students work from two project-based film courses this Spring/Summer.

We premiered a total of 7 films ranging in experimental and narrative with work from our 8-week film production courses Avant Garde Experimental Film and Digital Filmmaking. With over 100 attendees in our East Austin home —the first-time filmmakers wrapped their showcase and courses in the spotlight with a Q&A hosted by course educators Faiza Kracheni and Illyana Bocanegra. Attendees were able to talk directly with the local filmmakers about their process of making the films from learning about the craft of filmmaking to actually truly creating their final product.

Feeling inspired and want to make a film yourself? Our classes are updated on a rolling basis. Visit our upcoming classes page to see our current offerings and sign up to get notified as new classes drop! Anyone can make films!
