We’ll take a look at the sinister history of killer clowns in cinema and recreate an iconic Killer Clown look encompassing practical makeup techniques to create a classic clown look with a murderous gorey twist.

Participants will apply & play through a project-based virtual assignment with all SFX makeup & tools via a KILLER CLOWN SFX MEDIA BOX delivered straight to your home!

Our popular 16mm Direct Animation workshop is back with an October twist. This one-time exclusive edition of the workshop will explore profound experimental filmmakers such as Stan Brakhage, Norman McLaren, and Bill Morrison but also touch on early animation techniques ala David Lynch and film artists like Kenneth Anger.

You will be mailed a creative media box containing curated 16mm found footage we’ve hand picked to be the most bizarre findings in our archives, clear leader, black leader for scratching, and white leader.

You will also receive a curated paint set including black, orange, red, and other moody tones. Plus a paint brush set, mini magnifying glass, paint sponges (2), and a razor blade (for scratching) and more.

In this exclusive October session, participants will learn how to create a light display that operates within a Jack-o-Lantern! Students will learn to construct circuits with multiple LEDs and program a micro-controller to create their own custom light display.
