Carrie Cates is a film producer & filmmaker based in Austin, Texas. Upon moving to Austin in 2011, Carrie quickly rose to the ranks of powerhouse producer working primarily in the genre of horror. Her credits include this official promo for the Warner Bros film The Nun, Blackout, T is for Tuesday, Intrusion: Disconnected (available on Amazon), and her most recent film — The Rink (Dir. Ronald Short) that is in the midst of its festival run. 

She was recently lead editor on feature film Intrusion: Disconnected, works as a videographer with an array of clients, has provided casting services for many films and commercial projects, hosts a horror podcast called the Scary Movie List Show, and has even mastered the world of being an analog film projectionist.

Whether you’re a horror fan looking to go behind the scenes or a filmmaker looking to gain some insight from a seasoned filmmaker — this is a great opportunity to get an unfiltered glimpse into the life of a real independent filmmaker.
