Intro to Arduino: Jack-o-Lantern Light Show (with kit)

ALL LEVELS WELCOME / 16+ ONLY / HALLOWEEN ARDUINO BOX INCLUDED

For October, we’ve curated a one-time-only Arduino workshop with a twist. In this exclusive October session, participants will learn how to create a light display that operates within a Jack-o-Lantern! Students will learn to construct circuits with multiple LEDs and program a micro controller/Arduino to control the LED to create their own custom light display.

Participants will apply & play through a project-based virtual assignment with all SFX makeup & tools via an HALLOWEEN ARDUINO BOX  delivered straight to your home! You’ll be able to chat in real-time, ask questions, and get access to tried & true methods and techniques.

In just one afternoon, you’ll walk away with the basics of Arduino software, environment set up, and  basic coding principles (like type of syntax) with a provided materials and supplies. Participants gain an understanding of the parts of coding, creating, and working with the hardware & software! We’ll even  go through an unboxing: —defining each part, common language, interesting facts.

This workshop is led by multi-faceted electrical engineer Elizabeth Evans (Indiana).

*Pumpkin not included, you must have access to a USB input to power & code your lights (i.e. computer).
