This course will be held at the Austin School of Film in our iMac computer lab, with all materials, equipment, software, and computers provided for the duration of the class.
HOW CAN I START A PAYMENT PLAN?
Anyone is eligible for a payment plan for any class if they need it! Email us to get started on a payment plan at classes@austinfilmschool.org. We require 25% of the tuition cost at registration and can divide the remaining balance in up to 2 additional equal payments.
INSTRUCTOR: William F. Reed is an Independent Filmmaker living in Austin, Texas. He began his career in Los Angeles working in production on projects like, Star Trek (2009), Tenacious D in the pick of Destiny (2006) and Epic Movie (2007). In 2010 he formed Rude Boy Pictures under which he has written, produced, directed and edited Music Videos, Short Films, Documentaries, and Narrative Features.
William was one of the handful of film lovers who helped create the Hill Country Film Festival (HCFF) where he still serves as Technical Director and Film Programmer. He also works with the Lone Star Film Society as a Lead Programmer for their annual Lone Star Film Festival (LSFF) as well as Lead Instructor for the summer film camps that LSFF and HCFF present each year.
William has been teaching Film Production, Cinematography and Post Production for 7 years and is very excited to join the faculty at Austin School of Film.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Whether you are an editor transitioning from other editing platforms like Avid, Sony Vegas, iMovie and Adobe Premiere to Final Cut Pro X or you are just getting your feet wet; this course will provide a good introduction to the skills needed to edit effectively.
PRE-REQUISITES: None necessary. Beginners welcome. Students must be at least 17+ years old to take this class.
SUPPLIES: This course will take place at Austin School of Film in our iMac computer lab. All materials, equipment, software, and computer provided for the duration of the class.
CERTIFICATE: ASoF Digital Video Certificate editing class.
PAYMENT PLANS: Payment plans are available to anyone for any class or workshop. We suggest 25% of the tuition price as your “down payment”. The additional balance can then be split in up to 1-4 equal payments over the course of weeks or months. All payment plans are customized, to inquire & get started on a plan, please email classes@austinfilmschool.org.
This course and all ASoF courses are certified with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to provide Continue Professional Educational (CPE) credits.
