PLAY AT HOME: Let's Learn Experimental Editing Techniques

We’ve developed our first mini workshop with resident experimental film artist & analog enthusiast Faiza Kracheni on all things post-production (with an artful experimental twist)!

We’ll explore excerpts from select experimental films and explore the strategies & techniques used by film artists to create them. Giving you the tools & expertise to expand your mind & explore non-traditional editing techniques such as fast cuts, double exposures, color, and generally using forced manipulation & editing tools in non-conventional ways.

A section of the lesson will also be dedicated showing you hands-on (i.e with software + shared screen) some of her favorite editing techniques over her editing program of choice. Answering any questions you may have about the tools she intersects to create experimental media.

Part interactive analysis, part hands-on learning, all virtual.

This mini workshop is open to all levels but to get the most out of the lesson, some editing experience is encouraged! Suitable for ages 16+ only. The interactive lesson will take place on ZOOM. Once registered, you will be sent a follow-up email with zoom link + resource PDF.
