PLAY AT HOME: Let's Learn Shooting on Super 8

Super 8 cameras are an accessible beginner-friendly way to start shooting on motion picture film. We’ve developed a micro (we’re talkin’ mini teeny) workshop for anyone and everyone interested in learning some basics on shooting on the format.

Join experimental filmmaker + artist Faiza Kracheni as she breaks down shooting on Super 8 with a brief overview of cameras, stock, focus, focal distance, best practices, and tired & true tips & tricks.

Shooting on Super 8 can be a fun way to flexible your creative muscles while also continuing to social distance & go on solo adventures with your camera in tow. Think of this as a bite-sized mini version of our intensive analog filmmaking courses— sound fun? We think so!

Every participant will also receive a PDF resource guide centered around shooting on Super 8, crafted by the filmmaker in collaboration with Austin School of Film.
