— FEATURED WORK BY —
〰️ CECILIA YAKIN 〰️
Cecilia is an Austin-based artist who’s work focuses on ceramic sculpture, painting on ceramic vessels, and media. Her themes often include: intimacy, emotion, mental illness, identity, sensuality, subcultures, dreams & the subconscious, the occult & ritual, and the effects of the patriarch and capitalism on humanity.
Untitled I, Super 8 Film Installation
A nostalgic dream exploring sensuality, eroticism, gender, identity, desire, and fetish. Original score composed by Chris Childs. *DISCLAIMER: contains nudity & adult themes.
Untitled II, Digital Video Installation
A fever dream following four outlier characters of society: a reader, dancers, a luchador, and a clown. This film explores the occult, magick, ritual through movement and intention, gender and identity, emotion and mental illness.
〰️ HEATHER OLSON 〰️
Heather is an Austin-based artist who has worked globally in the film industry and in the local Texas yoga community. Her current work focuses on storytelling within experimental film and exploration of themes based around sensory and memory.
Terroir, Experimental Media Installation
Terroir, a word used in the wine industry to romance the idea that what you taste in the glass evokes the specific time, climate, and place where it came from.
This projection mapping installation invites the viewer to experience the terroir of a tree, but with the senses of sight and sound.
〰️ MARCUS ROSEN 〰️
Marcus is an Austin-based filmmaker and artist whose works focus on dreamlike atmospheres and abstract narratives.
Memory Transmissions, Video Installation
A multimedia video art installation exploring concepts of meditation, memory, and media consumption. Each segment is meant to evoke a trance-like state and a vague sense of nostalgia from the warped, yet somehow recognizable imagery, ranging from breaking news pieces, educational films, and abstract video art pieces.
