LET'S MEET.
LET'S TALK.
LET’S CONNECT.
The possibilities that arise out of a cross-cultural exchange between artists are part of what makes any community vibrant, and it is the interaction between emerging creators and industry creatives that paves the way towards new art, connections, and meaningful work.
Meet fellow Austin School of Film students, Austin Cinemaker Space members, and future collaborators at Motion Media Arts Center’s first happy hour dedicated to our community of creatives, filmmakers, and media artists.
This is an opportunity for students & members to directly engage with each other and learn more about our multi-talented diverse community. MMAC will also have a first look into information about our Digital Media Residency Program launching in late SPRING 2020.
FREE & OPEN TO ALL AUSTIN SCHOOL OF FILM STUDENTS + AUSTIN CINEMAKER SPACE MEMBERS!
— OUR MISSION —
Motion Media Arts Center is a 501c(3) non-profit independent film, art, and technology center that supports every aspect of production from creation to presentation. Founded in 2002 with the merging of two award-winning arts & film institutions (Austin Cinemaker Co-op & Center for Young Cinema) MMAC has been globally recognized for its innovative media arts programming for nearly two decades.
Our goal is to empower, support, and educate emerging artists of all ages as active participants in shaping our culture, and engage communities to rethink the way we view film, art and technology. We provide alternative ways to work, learn, create, and consume the arts in the digital era.
We do this through our programs: Austin School of Film— providing over 500 classes year round in art, film, and creative technology, and Austin Cinemaker Space— Austin’s first and only non-profit MAKE/WORK coworking makerspace + venue hybrid, designed as an alternative to traditional co-working spaces for artists, media makers, and all creatives alike.
