Event Liability Waiver and Release of Claims

By purchasing tickets to Austin Arts Foundation’s event series Los Artículos , you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in the Event Liability Waiver and Release of Claims for the Los Artículos event hosted by Austin Arts Foundation Inc. at Motion Media Arts Center on September 13-14, 2024.

  1. I confirm that I am at least 21 years of age if I choose to consume alcohol and understand that alcohol will only be served to individuals who present valid identification.

  2. I acknowledge that I am responsible for any damage caused to the artwork and agree not to touch any artwork displayed at the event.

  3. I understand that I participate in event activities, including live music, film screenings, and potential aerial performances, at my own risk. Austin Arts Foundation Inc. and Motion Media Arts Center are not liable for any injuries or accidents.

  4. I agree to respect all restricted areas within the venue and understand that the event will be held indoors with outdoor access to a car show and food trucks.

  5. I acknowledge that Austin Arts Foundation Inc. and Motion Media Arts Center are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal items during the event.

  6. I consent to be photographed or filmed during the event and allow Austin Arts Foundation Inc. and Motion Media Art Center to use these images for promotional purposes and a potential docuseries.

  7. I release and hold harmless Austin Arts Foundation Inc., Motion Media Arts Center, and their affiliates from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising from my participation in the event.

  8. Assumption of Risk: I understand and accept that attending a public event involves certain risks, including but not limited to the risk of exposure to COVID-19 or other illnesses. I voluntarily assume all such risks associated with attending the event.

  9. Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Austin Arts Foundation Inc., Motion Media Arts Center, and their affiliates from any claims arising out of my actions during the event, including any damages to property or injuries to others.

  10. Force Majeure: I acknowledge that Austin Arts Foundation Inc. and Motion Media Arts Center are not liable for any cancellation, postponement, or modification of the event due to circumstances beyond their control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or other unforeseeable events. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

  11. No Refund Policy: I understand and agree that all ticket sales are final and non-refundable under any circumstances, including event cancellation or rescheduling.

  12. Code of Conduct: I agree to behave respectfully towards other guests and follow all staff instructions. I understand that any disruptive or harmful behavior may result in my removal from the event without a refund.

  13. Data Privacy: I acknowledge that my personal information will be collected during the ticket purchase process and will be used in accordance with Austin Arts Foundation Inc.’s privacy policy.

  14. Governing Law: This waiver and any disputes arising from the event will be governed by the laws of the state of Texas.

Modification of Terms: I understand that Austin Arts Foundation Inc. reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of this waiver as necessary, and any changes will be communicated to attendees.
