Spend October With Us: what’s coming up
CINEMAKER CONNECT — Quarterly Networking Hang for Industry Professionals in Film, Photo, and Creative Industries
Fall officially landed on September 22, which in Austin, means the weather will finally start cooling off as we roll straight into some of our busiest, most electric months of the year.
Fall weather also means more production shoots, epic community showcases, and a stacked lineup of classes to fuel your creative fire through the end of the year.
This isn’t just another month for us over here. It’s soaking in the final months of the year and preparing for 2026. It’s the launchpad for a new creative cycle. New classes, new screenings, new opportunities. Whether you’re starting small or going all-in, remember — there’s a place for you here to learn, connect, and join a community of filmmakers & innovators.
Film & Friends: Two Nights, 21 Films, 100+ Filmmakers
On October 5th & 12th, join us for Film & Friends, our community screening event that showcases the magic made at Austin School of Film over the past six months. This season’s lineup? 21 short films created by over 100 filmmakers in collaboration with our programs at Hyperreal Film Club. It’s proof that Austin’s film community is alive, thriving, and constantly reinventing itself.
