Project Description:
A timid young boy named Rafael spends a nice quiet sunny afternoon playing in his living room. While rummage through a box found in his mother's room, he stumbles upon a dark family secret.
This film is created by teen students who are currently apart of the Caminos Teen Leadership Program produced by the Austin's Mexican American Cultural Center.
This film will feature guidance from various guest artists & filmmakers including Programs & Education Director of the Austin School of Film - Faiza Kracheni.
This film will premiere at an exclusive screening held at the MACC center as well as additional screenings to follow.
Character Breakdowns:
Rafael (boy), 6-10 years old, dark hair, Latinx preferred, timid but sweet character, *bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
Mother, 25-35 years old woman with witchy/mysterious vibe, dark hair with a Spanish accent, Latinx preferred*, must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Extras -- witchy/mysterious individuals to be extras in a small short scene on location at Green & White Grocery.
Filmmaking will take place on location at the Mexican American Cultural Center & Green & White Grocery.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, October 21st at 10am at the Mexican American Cultural Center (600 River St, Austin, TX 78701)
