SXSW 2017 Quick Review: Baby Driver

Dir. Edgar WrightWhoa baby. What a ride. The new film from Edgar Wright is exhilarating, fresh, funny, charming, slick, etc. It's an amalgam of genres and a celebration of classic and modern pop/rock music. A technical feat of expert pacing and insanely kinetic well executed car chases. The adrenaline rush from the chase scenes are heightened by being fully practical, no cgi to be found here (eat your heart out Fast and Furious') and pumped up to the stratosphere by a soon to be legendary soundtrack. Action, adventure, musical, and comedy are blended together into an unpredictable electric heist movie. I've run out of adjectives. Bravo.
