CINEMAKER CONNECT is our quarterly gathering of Cinemaker members — photographers, filmmakers, creative agencies, designers, and small businesses who are actively producing work across Austin.
The public is welcome to join in, too. If you’ve been curious about Cinemaker, this is your chance to step inside. We’ll be offering impromptu tours of the space for anyone interested in joining (though we still recommend submitting a formal application — we like to do things right).
This spring, our theme is Revolution. With everything happening right now, it feels essential to remember how powerful art can be for meaningful change.

ABOUT CINEMAKER
Cinemaker is a membership-based creative studio program providing affordable access to production studios, equipment, and tools for artists working in film and media — with multiple spaces throughout Austin. Produced by 501c nonprofit Motion Media Arts Center, CINEMAKER is designed to remove financial barriers by supporting hundreds of Austin artists each year by offering hands-on access to professional-grade equipment and space to produce their work.
On average, Cinemaker hosts 300 shoots per month — that’s 300 original works created by local talent and released into the public every single month.
