This one-time exclusive curated edition of our 16mm Direct Animation workshop, also known as “tactile filmmaking” will take place at Jones Center in partnership with The Contemporary Austin for Museum Day 2022.

Participants can experience hand painting abstractly on 16mm celluloid film including found footage and clear leader. The objective of experience is for students to explore both direct animation and dig deeper into concepts and interpretation of nature & nostalgia.

All work will be digitized by Austin School of Film with an original score & abstract short film to celebrate all the work created.
