Join us for an in-depth screenwriting workshop from 2019 Other Worlds Defender of the Universe Awardee Nicholas Meyer.

Adept with both original and adapted screenplays, with and without collaborators, credited and uncredited, Meyer will give us a peek into his process and influences. Drawing examples from films he’s loved and learned from; some old, some silent, some foreign, some his own, he’ll give those in attendance a little insight into how screenplays like TIME AFTER TIME, STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN, FATAL ATTRACTION, and SOMMERSBY go from thought to page.

There will be lots of time for questions from Other Worlds Austin’s Artistic Senior Programmer Dan Repp and the attendees. It’s free and open to the public.

“As I’ve taught this stuff, it should be cool.” – Nicholas Meyer

This event is free and open to the public through a partnership between the Austin School of Film and Other Worlds.

Other Worlds Film Festival runs December 5-9, 2019 and if you’d like to check out the rest of their stellar programming, hit up their website here.
