DOC SHORTS: Fall 2019 - Student Showcase

  • Motion Media Arts Center 2200 Tillery Street Austin, TX, 78723 United States (map)

Join us for a free screening of doc shorts created in Austin School of Film's 10-week intensive Documentary Filmmaking production course in Fall 2019— led by scholar, educator, and award-winning Documentary Filmmaker, Tania Romero!

All short docs featured completed in our 2019 FALL session of Documentary Filmmaking - a production project-based course. If you are interested in learning more about the class, instructor, or the experience of real-life students who completed the course, this is a great opportunity to learn, network, and empower media makers in our community.

Over the course of 10-weeks, two labs, and multiple production shoots, students created short documentaries highlighting their experience as emerging filmmakers and artists through new work and short films. Works extend a variety of topics and showcases the rich diversity of our student community.

Come hear the stories of those who live, work, and breathe in the Lone Star State.

The screening starts at 8pm with Q&A with filmmakers to follow.

• Free & open to the public • Audience participation encouraged •
