WATCH IT HERE!

In 2002, Tom Hanks received the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award. And who better to open the event than Steve Martin? Steve Martin is great. That is all. Enjoy!

BOTTEGA VENETA | PRE-FALL 2016

WATCH IT HERE!

I have previously recommended Gordon von Steiner's work, but his work is always worth a revisit. In a minute-long commercial, his focus on editing, mis-en-scene, and score are so precise and perfected that you almost forget you are watching an ad for way-too-expensive clothing.

They're Made Out of Meat

WATCH IT HERE!

This video has been around for a while.  So, maybe you've seen it, and if not, it's a nice little weird gem.  I love the unusual vibes, the bizarre subject matter, and even the extras get some great moments.  You may be offended by how these two sum up the human race, or maybe you'll feel like it's spot on?  Maybe the next time you see el presidente on TV, you'll decide to put it on mute and just think, 'They're Made out of Meat".

Sports // Manicure

Screen Shot 2017-08-07 at 9.49.58 PM

WATCH IT HERE!

American art seems to be going through an 80s renaissance at the moment, and directors Brandon Waddell and Bryan Roberts tooke full advantage of it when creating the video to Sports' synth-soaked song, Manicure. Watch as a young, John Hughesian teen gets literally attacked by a symbol of that bygone neon era, complete with a Thriller-esque ending to keep you up at night. For fans of Fritos and the color purple.

Final Scene from "The Great Dictator"

WATCH IT HERE!

Many things stand the test of time. Some remind us of our evil doings, others provide a source of inspiration. In a world where impactful changes are made every minute, it's important to keep these timeless moments in mind. Charlie Chaplin provided one of his own in the 1940 film, The Great Dictator. How do you perceive the world?

A Vodka Movie

WATCH IT HERE!

Honestly. Sitting near Eric Wareheim at Butterfly Bar the other week was the most serendipitous celebrity moment I've had in a while. And it was really, really hard not to continuously quote this amazing sketch from Tim and Eric the whole time. Thank god he was on a date and I thought better than to be that shit fan who quotes everything from a video that's nearly a decade (!!) old. Also. I hate Vodka. But these dudes, along with Zach Galifianakis, could totally get me to drink a hot tub full of Aboslut on Ice. (Also. PLEASE do watch the second one. Equally as good.) Hope you enjoyed Butterfly Bar, Eric Wareheim!
