SEAHORSE is a film about the complexities of being a woman and a mother challenged by the torment of addiction. It is an enormous battle to stay sober and to find oneself again while struggling to cope with the wreckage of relationships. If we are a society in search of healing, we must know the stories of the marginalized among us. Seahorse is a film that hopes to remind us the dignity and humanity of an addict.
SEAHORSE began production almost exactly 4 years ago with auditions in the Motion Media Arts Center in March 2018, and has periodically been back for other assistance, so its fitting that we screen the (nearly) finished film here tonight.
This screening is for any and all supporters of Seahorse, either in front of the camera, behind the camera, donors, advisors, investors, or folks that just lent their moral support through the long trek this took.
