ABOUT THE FILM

DEATH VIRGINS is a film about a bloodthirsty feminist cult, hellbent on destroying the patriarchy. Created by two horror fans who were bored of seeing the same archaic subtext repackaged again and again, deciding to create a film that subverts and heightens sexist, racist, homophobic horror tropes.

Inspired by girl gang films of the 1960's, John Waters and Troma's DIY spirit, DEATH VIRGINS aims to push all the boundaries and create an audio + visual sensory overload.

ABOUT THE FILMMAKERS

Zoe Camina and Elyssa Oliver are Brooklyn based filmmakers and artists drive to create meaningful films regardless of budgetary or cultural restraints.

ABOUT THE SERIES

FILM TALKS is an ongoing series produced by Motion Media Arts Center highlighting independent films and their makers from around the globe.

We are transforming our 8,000 square foot warehouse into a dark mysterious viewing room with 20 ft pro-res screen and some other experiences for your senses. One of our goals with our expanded space is to transform the way we create AND consume art — making viable options for unique experiences for both the viewer and the creator. Welcome to our dungeon, drinks will be provided. #deathvirgins
