Before you apply.
How long is the commitment?
Six months minimum, paid on the 1st. After that, stay month-to-month for as long as you want — no renewal hoops, no re-application.
Who's it for?
Photographers, filmmakers, performance artists, theatre professionals, art groups, nonprofits, and small businesses. Anyone whose work fits in 1,300 sq ft.
Do I have to be a working professional?
No. Emerging artists, side-hustlers, full-time freelancers — we care about the work, not the resume.
Black box or white box?
Both. Black box for moody, cinematic, dramatic lighting work. White box for clean, lifestyle, product, lighter setups. Members can use either.
Can I use it for personal projects?
Yes, please. Experimenting is what makes the strong work. The studio is yours to mess around in — trying things and failing is part of the deal.
Can I bring crew, clients, collaborators?
Yes. The studio is yours during your booked time. Bring whoever you need — crew, clients, models, friends helping out.
What's included?
Pro lighting (ARRI, Amaran), grip kit, backdrops, props, makeup & wardrobe area, fiber + iMac station. Full list on the main Cinemaker page.
How do I book studio time?
Members get 24/7 access to a mobile-friendly scheduler. Book from your phone, any time.
