SXSW 2018 FILM REVIEWS | Animated Shorts

One of the most creative, dynamic and diverse programs of the film festival, Animated Shorts always showcases the best of the best in a medium of storytelling often overlooked and categorized as a “genre”. I often found myself blown away by a piece, only to have it followed up with another film that blew me away even more. Mad respect to the intense level of detail that went into the craft in each and every one of these films (even the ones I wasn’t as fond of had something to offer in their style).

Agua Viva, Manivald, and Solar Walk round out my favorites, but check out all of these wonderful shorts if and when you can!
