Request for Proposals: Voter Education PSAs
As part of the Texas Election Protection Coalition, TCRP along with our 70+ partners including the ACLU of Texas, the League of Women Voters of Texas, and other groups, plan to reach at least 8.5 million voters with information about their rights when casting a ballot in November through dedicated broadcast, radio, and digital advertisements. Unfortunately, our state has abdicated its responsibility to educate voters and is one of the nine states in the country that has not expanded Vote-By-Mail options. Additionally, through previous Election Protection cycles, we know that millions of Texans still do not have basic information about voter registration, their polling locations, and, now, how to stay safe while voting in a pandemic.
The Texas Election Protection Coalition will address this gap information by running a PSA campaign through broadcast radio, television, newspaper, and digital ads that focus on the following topics:
● Information and guidance on how to stay safe while voting in a pandemic
● How to request and use a vote-by-mail ballot
● Information about voter ID and other Texas Election requirements
● Information about the Election Protection Hotlines and services
Additionally, the PSAs will include information about how Texans can join our broader efforts to advance voting rights in the state.
