Evelyn Ngugi, or “Evelyn From the Internets,” the popular Texan YouTuber known for her funny, honest and refreshing monologues about everything from pop culture to politics, all with a comedic twist.
With over 200,000 subscribers on Youtube and a 60K+ followers on social media platforms such is Instagram —to say she’s been successful would be an understatement.
Her first short film "Hello, Tim" won the Excellence In Comedy Award at Toronto's 2019 Buffer Festival, and she co-hosted and wrote Say It Loud, a PBS Digital Studios show about Black histories and cultures.

This is interactive hang is part of Austin School of Film’s newest program PLAY AT HOME . Not your “typical” zoom experience— our events, talks, and lessons are interactive, much like our in-person classes! PLAY AT HOME was born as a direct response to the ongoing pandemic. While in-person classes, programs, and services are on pause —we hope this program inspires and builds a space without borders or barriers.
