Aren't roommates the worst? Watch this throwback, Slacker-esque short that's surprisingly engrossing given it's simple and painfully realist premise. For fans of burritos and Ronald Reagan.

Fire In The Sky
WATCH IT HERE!
Fire In The Sky, based off of the accounts of Travis Walton, is an alien abduction film on the surface. But if you dig a little deeper, you get a brilliantly crafted narrative that delves into the thematic issues of someone disappearing in small-town America. With excellent performances, beautiful cinematography from auteur Bill Pope, top-notch directing, and a stand-out sound design and editing, this film truly is the dark side of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. And if you can do yourself a favor, go into this with as little knowledge as possible to truly enjoy the experience!

American Airlines Safety Video
WATCH IT HERE!
Alright, I know this pick is a little odd, but I've been flying quite a bit lately, and have come to appreciate when instead of the attendants glazing over to show how to buckle your seatbelt, this video plays. The first time I watched it, I was traveling alone, and was mesmerized. At the end, I looked around and it didn't seem like anyone else had just seen the bizarre thing I had just watched. A very strange experience indeed. Kudos to whoever is behind this trippy vid.

Father John Misty // Things It Would Have Been Helpful To Know Before The Revolution [The Haxan Cloak Remix]
WATCH IT HERE!
All of my homes are in crisis right now. The Pacific Nortwest and Montana are facing raging fires, Hurricane Harvey did a number on SE Texas, and another batch of Hurricanes are inbound towards Key West, where my parents just bought a house. There's a lot of insane, unsettling things happening due to a myriad of causes. This remix of FJM's apocalypse comedy scenario turns the tune from an ironic look at the feature to a really alarming, timely dissection of our attempts (or lack their of) combating Mother Nature's war with climate change and the human race in general. It's a wild world out there right now.
