Austin School of Film's award-winning Digital Filmmaking camp explores and experience every aspect of filmmaking. Students will work in crew-format collaborating and sharing ideas to create their own 5 minute short film. Students will learn hands-on with exercises in composition, camera movement, storyboarding, image, sound development and editing instruction with Final Cut Pro X. From idea to screenwriting, planning, production and post - students will experience every step needed to create a real short film using real professional equipment and industry standard platforms.

All films will be screened for the public at Alamo Drafthouse (Mueller) as part of ASoF's annual Loud & Clear Youth Film Festival on Saturday, August 4th, 2018 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm.

This camp is available during both the MORNING (10AM - 1PM) & AFTERNOON (2PM - 5PM) sessions; camper’s choice!

CAMP SCHEDULE: Monday, July 9 - Friday, July 20 / 10AM - 1PM or 2PM - 5PM

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Teen Summer Camps are for ages 13 - 18 only; no prior experience required!

ALL SUPPLIES PROVIDED: students will have access to professional 27" iMac computers, fully loaded with all the best creative software. 

ALL DAY CAMPS: students can opt for an all-day summer camp experience by choosing both a MORNING & AFTERNOON session (ex. Digital Filmmaking + Editing & After Effects)... Mix & match for a full day of fun!

LUNCH BREAK: all-day campers will have a lunch break from 1pm - 2pm in their home room with games, movies & fun! Note: lunch is not provided; campers must bring a sack lunch every day. However, ASoF does provide snacks & beverages throughout the camp's duration.
