Special FX II: Monsters & Wounds

Special FX II: Monsters & Wounds

In this 12-hour weekend speciality course, students will dive deep into the world of SFX — working exclusively in the themes of monster, zombie, injury, and wound applications — with guidance and hands-on exercises by ASoF's lead SFX instructor, the artist Jennifer Cunningham.

Students will explore various techniques, employing both homemade and professional makeup supplies.

Topics covered:

  • monster + zombie make-up

  • wound application

  • injury application

  • using homemade items (to achieve looks without compromising your budget)

  • professional/industry standard make up and supplies

Students will leave this workshop with a mini makeup kit of their very own, which will include items demonstrated in class so you'll be fully prepared to recreate these techniques for any/all future projects!
