"Seadrift" Work-In-Progress Screening

Local Filmmaker, Tim Tsai is holding a free work-in-progress screening of his newest film, Seadrift to gain feedback as he makes final edits to the film.  Come check out his movie and be ready to share notes on March 4th in the Austin Cinemaker Space.  Reception at 3:30PM, film begins at 4PM.

In 1979, the fatal shooting of a white crabber in a Texas fishing village ignites a maelstrom of hostilities against Vietnamese refugees along the Gulf Coast.

Tim is a Taiwanese American filmmaker and editor. His award-winning short films have screened at acclaimed film festivals and broadcast on public television. His most recent work as director, KLRU’s “Austin Revealed: Pioneers from the East,” is a series of short films that profile the earliest Chinese families to settle in Central Texas. Editorial credits include “Yakona,” a “pure cinema” film on the San Marcos River that premiered and won an audience award in the "Visions" category at SXSW 2014. He is the executive director of the Austin Asian American Film Festival and holds an MFA in film production from the University of Texas at Austin. “Seadrift” is his debut feature.
