FILMMAKING WITHOUT A CAMERA

This 3-day workshop will explore the highly experimental and deeply satisfying world of creating motion pictures entirely without a camera. Students will be shown a variety of work made in this manner with a wide range of techniques including: painting directly on film, exposing film out-of-camera, working with colored leader, and working with found footage. In turn, students will create their own no camera movie utilizing these techniques and the editing method of their choice.

 

ASoF Certificate: ASoF Digital Video Certificate elective class.

 

Prerequisites: None.

 

Who Should Attend: Students with an interest in art and experimental methods and those working towards their ASoF Digital Video Certificate. Ages 16 and older.
