Digital Art for the new Artist


Digital Art has become more relevant than ever and with the discussion of how to sell art and distribute work for the Internet is a question many digital artists are facing. In this class we will discuss Net Art and Post-Internet work with artists such as Molly Soda, Jon Rafman, and Jillian Mayer. Each student will learn how to create GIFS, video work, and post work to the Internet in a final curated presentation. We will go over concepts on making work for the online and discuss curating work for the Internet.

This course is instructed by guest artist Ambar Navarro from Los Angeles, California. This will be the only offering of this course this year.

Who Should Attend: People who want to about digital art.

Prerequisites: Beginners welcome, all supplies included.

Tuition: $150.00 (12 hour course duration)

About the Instructor:

Ambar Navarro holds a degree in Experimental Animation from the California Institute of the Arts. Her work ranges from crafty Stop-Motion to Installation and recently had her first solo show at the Demolden Video Project in Spain. Her work also includes miniature Set and Prop Building, Puppet Fabrication, CG, and creating digital works for the Internet. Born and Raised in San Antonio, TX,  Ambar now lives and works in Los Angeles. Her work has screened on PBS SoCal, KL!K Animation Festival, Wall Street Journal, YouTube Channel, and Vimeo Staff Pick.
