Hive Art Collective:
Have you always wanted to make your own stop-motion animation? Well for the month of April HIVE is partnering with Austin School of Film to help make your dreams come true!
In this workshop students will work in pairs to make short stop-motion films using paper and clay on a 2D surface. We will learn about fundamental animation concepts (like "squash & stretch"). The class will use Hue Animation Studio camera kits-- these are simple web cams that hook directly into the computer so you can see what you are making as you go. Students also have the option of bringing their own cameras and tripods.
No previous animation experience required. Please bring a USB stick to save your work.
$30 for this three part series, April 6, 13, 20 from 6:30-9:30pm.
Plus a film screening to share your work with your family and friends!
NOTE: THIS EVENT IS DESIGNED FOR ALL WOMEN. THIS MEANS WOMEN OF COLOR, TRANS/QUEER/CIS WOMEN AND GENDER NONCONFORMING INDIVIDUALS
