2D Paper Animation
Jeanne Stern

In this unique hands-on class, students will be immersed in the world of animation and learn the principles of animation and produce a short film encompassing their work.

Students will shoot on a 2D surface with handmade paper cut-outs and additional elements such as magazines, clay, sand, or objects. In addition, students will use Hue Animation kits to shoot animation directly onto iMac computers and edit on creative software platform Adobe Premiere Pro.

In honor of Halloween, the theme for this class session will be "The Everyday Lives of Monsters". Each student will produce a short vignette about the trials and tribulations of being a monster or mythical creature in the human world.

*You are not required to use the theme, and you may animate the story
or subject of your choice.
