Keep Austin Creating 004:
Open House

1,2,3...It's Keep Austin Creating #4!

THE DETAILS:
Our space inhabits 20,000 square feet of a repurposed industrial warehouse in East Austin providing an artful hub for the community. Our goal is to continue to sustain an accessible creative arts + tech hub for the community - not only those already actively aware of digital arts but those who are interested or yet to be. Opening doors for all ages, making it a financially viable option by providing alternative education, resources and a safe creative space to continue to learn, work and create.

Keep Austin Creating

Keep Austin Creating is an ongoing event & meet-up for the Central Texas community highlighting Austin creatives and their businesses. It is always free to attend, open to the public, and family friendly. We host every other month and hope to continue this event for as long as we can, as we feel it is vital to support accessibility within the arts and give a platform to all creatives.

WHAT WE DO

We currently offer a membership program, lease affordable creative studios, provide communal workspace, production & equipment rentals, and creative space for the Central Texas community. Our programs span the entire spectrum of arts + technology and we will be launching an expansion of new classes including Web, Graphic and Coding in 2017. We support local artists and creators in the development of their education and creative skills through currently offering 500 classes and programs and in the creation, presentation and promotion of work through artist/community events and showcases.

MISSION

Motion Media Arts Center founded in 2002 is a 501c(3) non-profit independent film, art, and technology center that supports every aspect of production from idea to distribution. Our goal is to educate, train, and develop emerging artists of all ages to be active participants in shaping our culture. We are dedicated to the belief that art + technology can be and are financially accessible art forms both in and outside of the classroom. Our programs include Austin School of Film and Austin Cinemaker Space.
